To access your customers’ employment data in Run Powered by ADP, you have two options:
ADP offers a robust library of APIs to customers and approved partners. While it’s possible to access the data housed in Run Powered by ADP through the company’s APIs, you must first apply to become an ADP Marketplace partner—making it a gated API.
Keep in mind that to become an official partner, you may be required to invest resources into business development efforts. You can find more information on ADP’s Marketplace homepage.
That largely depends on the integration method you choose.
If you decide to build a 1:1 integration yourself, you will need to work with ADP directly. See ADP’s developer resources for more information.
If you've completed your Finch implementation, you can start retrieving data from ADP Run in a few days. See our quickstart guide for more information.
If you’re building a 1:1 integration using ADP’s library of APIs, the company’s Developer Resources page is the best place to start. That’s where you can get answers to your frequently asked questions and access their API docs.
If you’re integrating with Run Powered by ADP via Finch’s unified API, navigate to our API docs. There, you’ll find a product demo, quickstart guide for developers, integration checklist, and product and developer guides, along with best practices to follow.
Of course, if you have any questions, we’d be happy to help answer them. Send your requests to developers@tryfinch.com.
Unified employment APIs help developers access data from payroll and HRIS systems employers use. Specifically, these APIs are useful for accessing data from a broad range of employment systems or collecting detailed information about their customers’ payroll and benefits. If your use case requires integrations with three or more employment systems, a unified employment API could save you hundreds of engineering hours and developer resources.
Through a single integration, you can connect with over 200 employment systems (including Run Powered by ADP)—unlocking up to 88% of the employer market. Once authorized by the employer, you’ll receive fresh data every 24 hours. From enterprise-grade security to read and write capabilities, Finch offers compelling benefits to employer-facing businesses of all shapes and sizes. Visit our website to learn more.
